Trenk Isabel Siddiqi & Shahdanian P.C. has welcomed the Hon. Ned M. Rosenberg, J.S.C. (Ret.), and Christopher P. Gengaro, expanding the firm’s capabilities with the launch of four new practice groups: Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), Family Law, Corporate and Business Law, and Real Estate Transactions.

Judge Rosenberg, a retired Judge of the Superior Court of New Jersey, joins as Of Counsel and will chair the new ADR Practice Group, providing mediation and arbitration services. Gengaro joins as a Partner in the firm’s Commercial Litigation Practice Group and will chair the three new practice groups in Family Law, Corporate and Business Law, and Real Estate Transactions. Previously, Rosenberg and Gengaro practiced at Lentz & Gengaro LLP.

“We have worked with both attorneys over the years and look forward to building on those relationships,” said Richard D. Trenk, Director of the firm. “Their experience strengthens our ability to serve clients across a broad range of legal matters.”

The ADR Practice Group also includes John L. Shahdanian II, Patrick D. Tobia, Christopher P. Gengaro and Asaad K. Siddiqi. Together, the attorneys bring experience across a broad range of legal matters, complementing Judge Rosenberg’s judicial background and extensive mediation and arbitration experience.

“Judge Rosenberg joins our firm with a reputation for compassion and the utmost integrity in resolving the most difficult controversies,” added Trenk. “He has successfully guided parties through a wide range of complex and sensitive disputes. He brings a depth of experience and humanity that is widely respected in the legal profession and beyond.”

Judge Rosenberg was appointed to the Superior Court of New Jersey in June 2005 and served in Essex County until his retirement in April 2016. During his judicial tenure, he presided over matters in the Criminal, Civil and Family Divisions and served as Supervising Judge of the Special Civil Part.

Since retiring from the bench, Judge Rosenberg has concentrated on mediation and arbitration. He is qualified as a federal mediator and as a mediator in New Jersey’s statewide mediation programs for civil, general equity and probate matters. He also serves on the Commercial, Consumer and Family Panels of the American Arbitration Association (AAA).

Judge Rosenberg previously served as Of Counsel to Trenk, DiPasquale, Della Fera & Sodano, P.C., from 2016 to 2018. He earned his J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law and his B.A. from Case Western Reserve University.

Gengaro brings extensive experience in commercial and matrimonial litigation, corporate counseling and transactions, and commercial and residential real estate matters.

As Chair of the Family Law Practice Group, Gengaro will oversee a team representing clients in divorce proceedings, child custody and support disputes, post-judgment matters, and prenuptial and postnuptial agreements. The group also includes Juliana C. Canevascini, Stephen M. Gengaro, Erin F. Duffin and Jack A. Treacy.

The Corporate and Business Law Practice Group advises businesses on entity formation, corporate governance, contracts, mergers and acquisitions, and other transactional matters. The Real Estate Transactions Practice Group represents developers, builders, investors, businesses and individuals in commercial and residential acquisitions and sales, leasing, and real estate investment structures.

In his commercial litigation practice, Gengaro represents businesses and individuals in breach of contract claims, partnership disputes and other business-related matters. He has handled jury and bench trials in state and federal courts, as well as appeals before the New Jersey Appellate Division and Supreme Court.

“Chris brings more than 33 years of litigation experience, including complex matrimonial matters, arbitration proceedings and trials,” said Trenk. “He is also an experienced negotiator and transactional attorney whose capabilities add depth to our firm.”

A founding partner of Lentz & Gengaro LLP, Gengaro earned his J.D. from Boston University School of Law and his B.A. from Boston College.
