Chair, Christopher P. Gengaro

Trenk Isabel Siddiqi & Shahdanian’s Family Law practice represents individuals in divorce, child custody, child support and other family law matters. Our attorneys bring extensive litigation experience and a practical approach to resolving complex and often sensitive disputes, whether through mediation or litigation.

Family law matters often involve significant financial considerations, sensitive family dynamics, and decisions that have a lasting impact on clients and their families. Our attorneys provide guidance throughout the legal process, helping clients understand their rights, evaluate their options, and work toward resolutions that protect their interests.

Led by Chris Gengaro, our Family Law practice handles a broad range of matters, from uncontested divorces to highly contested proceedings involving complex financial issues—including trusts and the valuation of businesses—alimony, child support, custody disputes, and post-judgment litigation. Our attorneys have experience appearing before the New Jersey Family Part, Appellate Division and Supreme Court, including in matters requiring immediate court intervention.

Our team includes attorneys who have served as judicial law clerks in the New Jersey Superior Court, Family Part, providing valuable insight into court procedures and the issues judges consider when resolving matrimonial and family law disputes.

We recognize that each family’s circumstances are different. Our attorneys work closely with each individual client to develop strategies and solutions suited to his or her individual needs, seeking negotiated resolutions when possible while remaining prepared to advocate aggressively in court when the situation warrants.
