Marsha M. Moore, a land use and redevelopment attorney with more than 25 years of experience, has joined Trenk Isabel Siddiqi & Shahdanian P.C. as a Partner. Her practice includes major redevelopment projects in Newark and Plainfield, as well as real estate transactions and commercial financing.

“Marsha is an incredibly talented attorney with a stellar reputation in our field. I am delighted that, after knowing her for many years, we are now colleagues at Trenk Isabel Siddiqi & Shahdanian,” said Reginald Jenkins, Jr., Chair of the firm’s Land Use and Redevelopment Practice Group.

“Marsha is a gifted land use attorney whose work transforms communities,” said Richard D. Trenk, Director of the firm. “Together, Marsha and Reggie bring exceptional experience and leadership to our Land Use and Redevelopment practice.”

“It’s an honor to join this practice with Reggie and to be part of the firm’s growth,” said Moore. “I look forward to drawing on the firm’s depth of experience and representing developers not only in land use and redevelopment matters but also in commercial financing.”

Moore guides clients through development projects from land acquisition and approvals to commercial financing and leasing. She negotiates redevelopment agreements, addresses affordable housing restrictions, secures public incentives, including payments in lieu of taxes (PILOTs), and appears before planning boards, zoning boards and historic commissions.

Her redevelopment experience includes Newark’s Museum Parc, a mixed-use, mixed-income development planned to include 250 rental apartments, a 4,216-square-foot gallery for the Newark Museum of Art and 2,598 square feet of ground-floor retail space. She has also represented developers in the redevelopment of the former Paramount Theater site into a 16-story mixed-use project with 241 residential units and approximately 5,700 square feet of commercial and retail space.

In Plainfield, Moore represented the developer of a mixed-use project comprising 501 residential units across two buildings, approximately 19,500 square feet of commercial and retail space and 12,000 square feet of office space. She obtained land use approvals and negotiated a redevelopment agreement and long-term tax exemption for the project.

The firm’s Land Use and Redevelopment Practice Group, chaired by Jenkins, represents developers, municipalities, housing authorities and other public and private entities on projects involving site acquisition, financing, zoning, permitting and land use approvals.

Before joining Trenk Isabel, Moore chaired the Land Use, Real Estate and Redevelopment practice group at a Roseland law firm for ten years. She earned her J.D. from Rutgers University School of Law-Newark and her B.A. from Rutgers College, Rutgers University.

Moore serves on the Boards of Directors of the New Jersey State Bar Association’s Business Law and Land Use Sections and the Board of Trustees of the Community Health Law Project. She was named to ROI-NJ’s ROI Influencers: People of Color lists in 2023 and 2025.
