Partner Reginald Jenkins, Jr. Wins Unanimous Approval for Client Gateway Merchant Banking for Revitalization Project of Orange Memorial Hospital Site
The Trenk Isabel Siddiqi & Shahdanian Real Estate & Land Use team led by partner Reginald Jenkins, Jr., and its client Gateway Merchant Banking led by Managing Parter Terrence Murray, won unanimous approval from the City of Orange Township Planning Board for the transformation and revitalization of the storied Orange Memorial Hospital site.
Located in the City’s Central Orange Redevelopment Plan Area, and with an eye toward the hospital’s historic past, the 1,005 unit multiphase mixed-use development will be well-amenitized, providing residents with a roof top pool, cabanas, sky lounge, fitness rooms, club rooms, community rooms, elevated outdoor terraces, flex spaces, automated package rooms, and rooftop gardens.
Additionally, the project will include new municipal offices, and 70,190 sf of retail and commercial space. Public amenities are proposed to include an outdoor ice skating/roller skating rink, a 1 ¾ acre public plaza, electric vehicle charging stations, covered outdoor plaza space, outdoor terraced platform seating, passive open lawn, a restaurant with outdoor seating, food truck staging, children’s play mound, and swinging benches.
