Bergen County Bar Association Awards 2025 Diversity In the Profession Award to Asaad K. Siddiqi

The Bergen County Bar Association & Women Lawyers In Bergen selected Asaad K. Siddiqi to receive the 2025 Diversity in the Profession Award, which was presented to Siddiqi by longtime colleague and Director of the Firm, John L. Shahdanian, II at the Annual Diversity in the Profession Dinner.

In congratulating Siddiqi on this accomplishment, Shahdanian said, “Asaad’s journey is complex, inspiring, and uniquely American…The Diversity in the Profession Award is intended to recognize individuals who have not just talked about inclusion, but have made it real—who’ve reshaped institutions, opened doors, and lifted others as they rose. Tonight, we honor a man who has done all of that—and more.”

Shahdanian continued, “What sets Asaad apart is his relentless dedication to building a more inclusive profession. From DEI training and mentoring to advocating for greater awareness and sensitivity, Asaad has made it his mission to ensure that the next generation of lawyers finds a more welcoming and equitable profession than the one he entered.”

“On behalf of everyone here at the Firm,” Shahdanian later said, “we celebrate Asaad for his friendship, for his many contributions to the legal profession and to our communities, and for the well-deserved honor of receiving the 2025 Diversity in the Profession Award.”
