Asaad SiddiqiTrenk Isabel Siddiqi & Shahdanian P.C. is pleased to announce that Director Asaad K. Siddiqi will receive the 2026 Trailblazer Award from the New Jersey Muslim Lawyers Association (NJMLA) at its Eleventh Annual Scholarship and Awards Gala on November 12, 2026, at The Brownstone in Paterson, New Jersey.

The Trailblazer Award recognizes distinguished individuals who have demonstrated exceptional professional achievement, leadership and a commitment to advancing diversity, representation and opportunity within the legal profession. Honorees are recognized for breaking barriers, paving the way for future generations of Muslim-American legal professionals and making meaningful contributions to the legal community.

A co-founder and former four-term President of NJMLA, Siddiqi has long been committed to advancing diversity and representation in the legal profession. He currently serves on the Board of Trustees of the New Jersey State Bar Association, the Bergen County Bar Association and the Association of the Federal Bar of New Jersey, and was previously a member of the New Jersey Supreme Court Civil Practice Committee and Model Civil Jury Charges Committee.

“Asaad’s leadership, professional accomplishments and longstanding commitment to the legal community make him exceptionally deserving of this recognition,” said firm Director John L. Shahdanian II. “His contributions to the profession reflect the very qualities the Trailblazer Award was established to honor.”

A business and commercial litigator, Siddiqi represents businesses, individuals and nonprofit organizations in complex litigation and regulatory matters. His professional contributions have earned him several honors, including the 2025 Diversity in the Profession Award from the Bergen County Bar Association and Women Lawyers in Bergen and recognition as one of the New Jersey Law Journal’s 2023 Diverse Attorneys of the Year.

NJMLA’s annual gala brings together attorneys, judges, government officials and other legal professionals to recognize achievements within the Muslim-American legal community, support professional development and award scholarships to deserving law students.
