John L. Shahdanian Named to 2026 NJBIZ Leaders in Law List

Trenk Isabel Siddiqi & Shahdanian PC is proud to announce that firm director and chair of the Labor & Employment group, John L. Shahdanian, has been named to the 2026 NJBIZ Leaders in Law list. The awards program honors legal professionals – lawyers and general counsels – whose dedication to their occupation and to their communities is outstanding.

Shahdanian has been practicing employment law for most of his career. He provides counsel to employers about day-to-day business operations and staff management as well as complex matters related to discrimination claims, disability claims, sexual harassment, whistleblowing, noncompete clauses, wage and hour, family leave, and private sector labor law.

Shahdanian is also extremely active with the New Jersey State Bar Association and Bergen County Bar Association and has held numerous leadership positions within both organizations. He serves the NJSBA as the first vice-chair of the Labor & Employment Section and as a member of the Judicial Administration and Legislative standing committees. Shahdanian is also secretary of the Bergen County Bar Association and serves as the co-chair of the Labor & Employment Law Section.

Shahdanian and the other Leaders in Law honorees will be recognized at an awards ceremony on March 31 at The Marigold in Somerset.

The NJBIZ Leaders in Law awards are based on a two-phase nominations process, followed by a review by an independent panel of judges primarily comprised of honorees from prior years. Each submission is scored in five categories: professional accomplishments, achievements, community involvement, impact, leadership and vision.
